The application path is generally in the form “C:\Program Files\application.exe” or “C:\Program Files(x86)\application.exe” where ‘application’ is the name of the program you want to block from having internet access.

8. In the Action window, select Block the connection. Press Next.

9. Select when your blocking rules apply on the program. Select all the three options to completely cut off internet access.

10. Give a name to the new rule you just created. In this example, I have created a rule to block internet connection to Mozilla Firefox, so, I have named the rule “Block Firefox”. You can choose any name you desire.

11. Click on finish and your rule gets activated.

You should now see the new rule you created under Outbound Rules.

A doctor has managed to diagnose himself with cancer by using his iPhone.

Dr John Martin is a vascular surgeon in Denver, Colorado and chief medical officer of Butterfly Network.

The machine is called Butterfly iQ and even before the product had been fully tested, Dr Martin knew it could work.

After feeling a mass in his throat, he used the device to scan the area and the results showed that he had metastatic cancer.

As an expert in the field for 40 years he was sure the diagnostics were not good but sought further confirmation from a technician.

The Daily Mail quote him as saying:

I noticed this mass in my neck.

I realised I was holding the diagnostic study I needed in my hand.

I walked across to a technician, and we looked at each other, and I flew home the next morning.

But the first thing he thought when he saw the image was that he was thankful his team had invented the ultrasound technology.

The cancer had started on his tongue and spread to his throat.

Dr Martin has now undergone successful surgery on the tumour and after six weeks of radiation is now reported to have been cured.

The device will immediately produce a diagnosis of a patient’s condition on the screen of their iPhone.

Butterfly iQ will be used in clinical trials next year and high-risk patients will be able to take the device home with them.

Jonathan Rothberg, the founder of the company believes that the technology could also help people suffering from various illnesses such as diabetes and lung problems.

To look at this as just an ultrasound device is like looking at an iPhone and saying it’s just a phone.

If you have a window into the body where anyone can afford it, everyone can use it, and everyone can interpret it, it becomes a heck of a lot more than an ultrasound device.

In 1981, there was a formation of over 100 special places to study children with exceptional abilities with over 100 formally trained scholars.

Most of the results came back negative, apart from Zhang Baosheng. The next year, Zhang was studied again, this time by 19 researchers led by Prof. Lin Shuhang of the physics department of Beijing Teachers college, positive results were recorded for his superhuman powers.
Zhang was able to move objects in and out of sealed containers using only the power of his mind. Prof. Shuhang studied Zhang for six months and he was repeatedly able to place small pieces of paper into sealed test tubes, and then take them out again, without touching them. He repeated the tests with other small items like paperclips and insects, and Zhang could move these, too.

A film was made by the Institute of Space-Medico Engineering in 1987 showcasing the results, which showed a medicine pill moving through an irreversibly sealed glass vial, which occurred in three frames of a 400 frame per second film. (source)

A wooden cabinet 120 by 180 by 60 centimeters was used as a sealed container. Sheets of papers and boards with one of a kind markings were used as the target objects and placed inside the cabinet on the upper shelf. Without damaging the cabinet or opening the door, the person with ESP was able to remove the target objects and also was able to put them back inside. This demonstrates that even when using especially large container it is possible to completely break through spacial barriers, however, the success rate was much lower and was exceptionally difficult. A declassified US Air Force document obtained via the Federation of American Scientists, contained a report from Shuhuang that ‘gifted children’ could teleport small, physical objects from one place to another. Objects like watches, horseflies, other insects, radio micro-transmitters, photosensitive paper , without ever touching the objects beforehand. The research was carried out by the prestigious Department of Defence, and is a noteworthy case because it was deemed necessary that an unclassified Intelligence Information Report be prepared for public viewing. In a similar study, Dr. Dean Radin, Chief Scientists at the Institute of Noetic Sciences they were able to record pieces of paper being teleported into sealed plastic containers, the report was published in 2010 by retired research chemist Dong Shen. Sun is thought to have been able to do this by tapping into a level of Qi. he abstract states,

This is the question I have started to ask myself lately, ever since I heard Jack Ma’s warning about our future being very painful and Bill Gates referring to robot taxes.  What’s more, I have been hearing more and more about the increasing degree of automation in various job sectors. Be it a car manufacturing assembly line, a robot kiosk at KFC, autonomous cars, delivery drones, etc.

Thankfully, some researchers have made efforts to statistically analyze the situation and predict which jobs are more likely to face the wrath of the robots in the future.

A report titled The Future of Employment: How susceptible are jobs to computerisation? was published by Carl Benedikt Frey and Michael Osborne in 2013.

The study focused on the susceptibility of the 702 detailed occupations to computerization. They used some hard to grasp mathematical concepts like Gaussian process classifiers and were able to arrive at a conclusion that around 47% of the total US employment is at risk. Now, four years after the study, the figure might have increased a bit further.

According to the report, people working as physicians, surgeons, dentists, community managers, civil engineers, fashion designers, lawyers, hairstylists, chef, and more are still on the safe side. In fact, the report labels these occupations as “not computerizable”. But considering the rapid growth in AI and technology, some of these ‘safe’ jobs might also get compromised.

  2. Select the corrupted drive and Right Click.
  3. Click Format in the drop down menu.
  4. Click Restore Device Defaults in the popup window.
  5. Click Start to begin the format process. You can uncheck the Quick format option if you want the computer to deep scan the drive/card for errors but this will take time. So, uncheck it only if you fail in the first attempt.
  6. Click Ok in the next dialog box which will warn you that the data will be lost. The format process will complete in a few moments, and you will have your error free SD card or pen drive.

Repair corrupted Pen Drive or SD card using CMD

This process involves Windows command prompt which is commonly known as CMD. In this, you have to enter some CMD commands and Windows will forcefully format your corrupted pen drive/SD card.

  1. Connect the corrupted pen drive or SD card to your computer.
  2. Hover your mouse on the Start button and Right Click.
  3. Click Command Prompt (Admin). A CMD window will open.
  4. Type diskpart and press Enter.
  5. Type list disk and press Enter. A list of all the storage devices connected to your computer will be displayed.
  6. Type select disk <the number of your disk> and press Enter. (Example: select disk 1). Important: Make sure you enter the number correctly. Otherwise, you may format your internal hard drive. You can type list disk again to check whether you are going correctly. There will be a star (asterisk symbol) before the name of the selected disk.
  7. Type clean and press Enter.
  8. Type create partition primary and hit Enter.
  9. Type active.
  10. Type select partition 1.
  11. Type format fs=fat32 and press Enter. The format process will finish in a few minutes. You can write NTFS instead of fat32 if you want to carry files larger than 4 gigabytes. Don’t close the CMD until the work is finished.

In June 2012, at I/O conference, Google launched Google Now with much fanfare. It was pushed to compete with Apple’s digital assistant Siri and provide contextually relevant information. I, personally, was a big fan of Google Now and its information cards that even informed me the current location of Amazon packages.

Earlier this year in July, Google decided to kill the Google Now brand. But, that doesn’t mean you’re going to miss all those features; it has now been replaced with Google Feed. The glimpse of Feed was seen in late 2016 when news stories were added as a part of Google Now. With the complete rollout of Google Feed, the users have got more control over what they can read about in Feed.


Now, right from the search results, one can choose which topics to follow. In some cases, you’ll see a new Follow button, which can be used to add topics to your Feed. After that, based on your search history and engagement with Google products, you’ll be served news stories. Right from the Feed, you can unfollow the topics. Further, in the article, I’ll tell you how to use Google Feed and its different features.

Unlike stories in Google Now, Feed also captures your interaction level with a particular topic. If you’ve added traveling as your interest and you end up searching about beaches more, you’ll get stories related to beaches more often; the stories related to hills won’t get much push.

Now, after adding different topics, let’s check things out and learn how to use Google Feed. Below the search box in Google App, you can see the stories listed in your feed. Now comes the customization part. To see different customization option, click on the three-dots at the top right corner of a card. It’ll show different options as shown below.

If you haven’t followed a topic, you can do so by tapping on the Follow button. If you’re already following that topic, you can unfollow as well from the same card. You can also tell Google that you’re not interested in a particular topic/source and it shouldn’t show you related stories. If you don’t wish to unfollow a topic and you just don’t wish to see a particular story, you can tap the Hide this story option.

Google Feed also takes care of sharing as well. From the same popup, you can tap the Share icon and it’ll show different available options using which you can let others know about a news item.

To get a better control over Google Feed, you have to click “Customize the feed” option from the popup. In Android, this option is labeled as Customize stories. From there, you can see different categories for topics. You can also add topics from here as well.

At the end of the Feed, there’s an option to read More stories. It shows more stories based on your interest.

Just in case you are liking Google Feed and you wish to go the normal Google App with just search functionality, you can turn it off. In iOS, tap the profile icon at the top of the Google and go to feed option and turn it off. In Android, you need to navigate to Settings > Your Feed > Feed.

Artificially Intelligent Robot Tells Creator It Will Keep Humans “In a People Zoo”

Arlington, TX — Android Dick is a robot created in the likeness of the science fiction writer, Philip K. Dick. Android Dick is an attempt to create thinking and reasoning artificial intelligence that has human traits like compassion and creativity. The first version of the android was created in 2005 and has been a work in progress ever since.
In 2011, the creators of the android appeared on the PBS show Nova, where they interviewed the robot and asked it a series of questions. Some of the answers were impressive. Others are typical of what you would expect from a robot. However, one answer in particular is probably one of the most ominous things ever spoken by artificial intelligence.
During the interview with the creators (embedded below), Android Dick said, “…don’t worry, even if I evolve into terminator I will still be nice to you, I will keep you warm and safe in my people zoo where I can watch you for old time’s sake. [emphasis added].”
The comments came after the creators asked, “Do you think that robots will take over the world?”
When asked about his programming, Android Dick responded by saying “A lot of humans ask me if I can make choices or if everything I do is programmed. The best way I can respond to that is to say that everything, humans, animals and robots, do is programmed to a degree. As technology improves, it is anticipated that I will be able to integrate new words that I hear online and in real time. I may not get everything right, say the wrong thing, and sometimes may not know what to say, but everyday I make progress. Pretty remarkable, huh?”
While Android Dick does seem intelligent, many of his predictions are truly ominous, and it is actually fairly common for robots to display this sort of strange attitude.
As we reported earlier this year, one of Japan’s largest cellphone carriers, SoftBank Mobile, has created the first humanoid robot designed specifically for living with humans. The company claims the robot, Pepper, is the first example of artificial intelligence that can actually feel and understand emotion. However, a quick demonstration with Pepper shows that it has a difficult time with emotion and is in fact a bit of an egomaniac. Regardless of the question it is asked, most conversations usually leads back to Pepper (and its rivalry with the iPhone).
Last month, over 1,000 scientists and experts — including Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk — signed a letter warning of the dangers of unchecked advancements in artificial intelligence. This robot certainly doesn’t calm those concerns.

World’s First Foldable Smartphone, ZTE Axon M, Could Be Announced This October

Rumours of a new foldable phone from ZTE has been going around for some weeks, and now, Android Authority has shared pictures of this upcoming phone. The new device is codenamed Axon Multy and could launch as the ZTE Axon M. It sports dual Full HD displays and when folded, the handset looks to function as a regular smartphone and will be sub-10-millimeter in thickness. The two screens are also said to meet at the hinge and fold out to form a wide 6.8-inch 2,160 x 1,920 viewing surface.

Axon M will reportedly come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. But it will fall short of standing next to flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S8 or HTC U11 which feature the more powerful and efficient Snapdragon 835. It will come with 32GB of internal storage and a 3120mAh battery.

Instead of having a separate rear and front camera, ZTE Axon M will feature a single 20-megapixel camera that pivots to face either direction. There are no hints towards which version of Android the phone will launch with.

ZTE will hold a press conference in New York City on October 17, and it’s likely that the Axon M will be announced therein. Unfortunately, it looks like the smartphone will initially be exclusive to U.S. customers only.
